A curatorial collective based in Hong Kong

The Studio

Located in the heart of the city, our studio has long served as a vibrant gathering place for artists and art practitioners. With the addition of a kitchen, the space has evolved into a hub for exploring food as both a subject of research and a medium for connection, while hosting guests from around the world. We believe food is inherently a social experience—one of the most powerful ways to connect with others and build meaningful relationships. In 2023, we launched a monthly initiative where a local art practitioner was invited to cook for our peers. Each dinner brought together about a dozen guests, fostering meaningful connections and inspiring new collaborations within the art community. Recognizing that food is deeply woven into the cultural fabric, our work also involves discovering new ingredients and production methods, preserving traditional recipes by recreating them, sharing the results, and creating new memories in the process. Beyond our city, we extended this dinner format to Tokyo and London, introducing elements of Hong Kong’s culture while fostering new global connections. Over time, we have hosted artists, curators, and art industry professionals from all over the world, introducing them to local cuisine and connecting them with local art practitioners, strengthening the dialogue between food, art, and community.  Since 2024, we have started our research on the historical foodways of Hong Kong and the region, hoping  to produce events based on the findings.
